Would be nice to have the ability to add layers &/or datasets to the "Correct Location" pop-up window.
- correcting the location is not always just a drag to this location
- sometimes you need other "info" to know where to drag it
- in our case, that "info" is available in an existing map dataset1 vote
If we had a "save as" action or a clone for an existing shape that would be helpful. Sometimes we need to make a temporary change to a shape and it would be nice to have the old shape in an archive file so we can easily go back to it. If we could clone the original, make changes, and save as a new shape that would be a time-saver.1 vote
The "Correct Location" button or link is not working on the Account object?
- It just display a pop-up with a blank map?
- It does work if you go to the full Geopointe map tab/page
Please fix the bug! thanks..1 vote
I often have to pull data that must include both people in a given location and people that have a relation to a given even within that location even if they are outside that location.
I am holding an event in NYC
I want to send an invitation to people within X miles of the event and I want to send an invitation to anyone that has attended that event in the past, even if they live outside the radius that I set.
I need to run the radius report
Then I need to run the event…2 votes
It would be helpful to be able to edit the text color and background color when displaying "labels" rather than "markers" in a data set. The black text with white background does not appear well on some maps.

It would be helpful for territory mapping if Geopointe included just the postal districts in their Geopointe shape library as well as postal codes.
For example, a full postal code might look like NN8 6UY. It would be helpful for us to be able to see all of "NN" as 1 shape.2 votes
It would be cool to be able to set default marker colors on a map object so that any data sets created would start with that as a default and perhaps even be able to lock it so that only certain users could override that when creating data sets. The use case here for our client is that we want to be able to set the colors for opportunity stages so they are consistent across the company.
It might also be nice to be able to apply that default to all data sets created from that map object after the…11 votes
It would be incredibly helpful to have census tracts as a shape you can select in the geo library (like zip code, congressional district, etc). It would help us target properties that could be eligible for specific federal programs.11 votes
While it is possible to export Standard or Geo Library shapes, it would be nice to export Shape Field shapes as well, so we could export a data set of records AND their associated shapes.5 votes
i have a new idea which will target businesses and employees. Simply it is the end for finger prints and swiping the cards. All will be related to mobiles and will calculate the working hours all automatically.
need to get in touch with someone so i could illustrate more.6 votes
There is the existing capability to pull in a KML file as well as the ability to put in a URL for a KML feed. This is great except it does not real time update. You have to repaste and save the URL to get most recent update. Example, pulling in KML feed from the National Hurricance Center (a live feed). T3 votes
When you click "edit" on a shape and are working on a small point it zooms out to the larger shape. If I am working on the zip level of a state wide shape then I have to re-zoom in to find my place. It would be nice if you edit the shape and it stays where you are working.9 votes
Our sales manager just noticed that his "Activity Reports" are no longer easy to read because of the way Geopointe codes the check-in?
- The "Comments" are added to the end of the "Subject" field
- This skews the Activity reports that are grouped by that "Subject" field because there are now "too many" unique subjects?
What do you recommend as a fix for this?
- Is there a way to not have the comments saved/appended to the Subject field?
- Is there a way to "dynamically bucket" the subject in a report?13 votes
Stepping back a bit from SF & Maps, it seems like Geopointe is not integrated enough "into" normal SF daily routines? such as:
When working within Salesforce :
- adding a Map to an Account, Contact, Lead, Opportunity (how do I/end-user easily/quickly add a map to a layout?)
- adding a Map to a List-view (end-users need to be able to quickly/on-the-fly view all/filtered customers on a map)
- adding Map Export options (management needs to be able to quickly/on-the-fly export all/filtered customers to excel/kml/etc)
Having to "stop" and load the Geopointe app, then "think" thru data-sets & "plotting" options…3 votes
My Sales Reps would like a way to save their shapes and data set information to a record. For instance, if there are 20 Accounts in Shape #1, those 20 accounts would somehow be marked as being in that shape. This could allow reporting and account management by region/group. It could also make shapes available on the Mobile App.
It would be best if you could choose to mark the record as part of the shape so you wouldn't just have everything automatically push to the record. Similar to "Add all to campaign" but maybe you could pick certain shapes…20 votes
It would be ideal to have a method for saving a map view. For example, if I zoom the map to my desired location, add a few data sets, and add some shapes, it would be great to capture that map state. That way I can open the map without having to search for my data sets, re-add desired shapes, etc.45 votes
Import an excel or csv file with addresses to display on map so reps can use it for route planning or adding to route (without having to add to SF).
Our reps have their own competitor lists (that we do not always want to add to SF unless it is a closed sale) but they still want to display it on a map and be able to see how close to our customers they are near.
Currently some of our reps use BatchGeo for this function.9 votes
It would be helpful to be able to show multiple routes on the same map, so for example if I wanted to share with someone where I'll be next week, I can share a map with the 5 routes showing.13 votes
We have many users who would like to print out a mapped dataset (without having to map a route and save to pdf, etc.). They use the print out as a reference while they work in other applications, etc. They'd like to be able to print right from the map and get something similar to the attached.85 votes
