  1. Data Set Folders

    Hi,

Currently, the different data sets you create fall under the object you have based them on. What I would love to be able to do, is drag them into my own made up folders just like you do with most things. The ability to do this means you can group similar searches together, just because they don't come under the same object, the search could still be around the same customer base. t the moment our business have to scroll through everyones saved searches, but to be able to group a business areas searches into one place just seems…

We updated the application in our March release to show the labels from the data rather than the API name making it easier to understand. The API name is still available through a simple hover.

  3. Label pins with field of choice from dataset

A good option would be to have the ability to have a permanent label display by the pin symbol. By permanent I mean that it would stay visible even when not hovering over pin with cursor. User would have option to pick what field, of calculated field could be displayed. This functionality would be similar to Google Earth and how names of place marks are displayed.

  4. Routes subfolders

Currently, previous or saved routes are shown as one continous list under "My Routes". I would like the abliltiy to create subfolders within the "Routes" tabs for the different territories I manage to see when territories were visited last and the area that was covered. Similar to creating subfolders within Data Sets.

  5. Use device location to populate custom coordinate fields.

In some areas, geocoding is not accurate. I want my Geopointe users to be able to check into a record and indicate that this record is here. This would then populate custom coordinate fields in the record based on device's location.

I know that device coordinates are available on a check in record, but I need a way to populate these coordinates onto the "where" record to which the checkin relates.

There is an Action just below the map called “Export CSV”. That will give you what you need. If you don’t see Export CSV available, go to Geopointe Setup and look at the Actions section. This will allow you to activate the Export CSV action.

  7. The ability to remove dots from an existing shape.

The ability to remove dots from an existing shape. Reorganizing an existing shape takes forever since you have to move the existing dots around.

  8. How far can I drive from a location?

It would be nice to be able to see a shape on a map of how far I am able to drive in a set time; ie - how far can I drive from an address in 30 minutes. If I arrive early, I can see what else is in the area.

  9. Shape Sharing

It would be great if Using the ability to fix shapes to the map as an admin user, and have all the users at an org be able to share those specific shapes that are created.

This would be great for Sales Reps Territories and when sales reps leave/Change owner.

  10. color and icon by diferent fields

I'd like to be able to display more information on the map at a glance. Setting pin color as a function of a criteria is great but I want my user to pay attention to a second criteria.

Would it be possible for the icon to be set as a function of some other field, that way a user can get 2 different info by looking at only one pin.

  11. Being allowed to view other businesses eventhough you are not logged in.

Geopointe should be allow you to see the names of other businesses on the map, even though you have not logged them in to Salesforce.
Google map does this when you look for a specific address. This would be helpful if it did, and then be allowed to click a button to add as an account into saleforce.

This was added in the new release we are rolling out today. It’s available on AppExchange today for you to get and we’ll push it to everyone else this weekend.

Our release notes can be found at http://help.arrowpointe.com/customer/portal/articles/2073943-geopointe-august-2015-release and we are holding a webinar in a couple hours. Register at http://pages.arrowpointe.com/August-2015-Release_Geopointe_webinar-Registration.html. If you get this note too late, the recording to the webinar will be posted in those release notes.

  12. Add Data Set names to Legend

Please add Data Set Names to the legend as there is no easy way for an end user to understand the values in the lenged when we use multiple data sets. We have to create a cross reference legend to the legend identifying the icons used.

  13. Fix shapes to map?

My thought is that a right-click could allow me to select "edit" or "fix to map" and it locks it down - I would love to be able to present our territory layout without all of the busy dots! My CEO asked me about that last time I sent him the map!

  14. Territory Management

There is great value in the ability to construct / reconstruct territories.

That being said, I feel there would be value in being able to upload a list of targets, which are then mapped. After being mapped, the user is able to select targets to be included on a route or group (probably based on proximity).

This should have cross-functionality with other abilities in Salesforce so that users can easily group targets into routes.

IE say you're setting up your targets for Monday - Friday. You would then create 5 'territories' where you want to hit the top targets in…

  15. select all

Add a select all / deselect all checkbox above the action checkbox to allow for the selection all records in the results. Our user want to select all the record and then deselect the ones they don't want. The number of deselecting is a lower number, then selecting only the records needed.

  16. Hide shape edit "dots"?

Can we hide the "dots" we use for editing? Possibly right-click to change from edit to non-edit mode? I LOVE the fact that the shape is fixed to the map!! (Thank you!) I use this map to draw and define territories, both current and proposed. This would give a better presentation view for me to pass along. Thanks!

  18. Salesforce1 Pin Colors

Geopointe within Salesforce1, in relation to how our outside sales guys use the app, could use some improvement. My idea is imperative to making it be an app that can be used while on-the-fly and on-the-road.

The first thing I would like to see is an option of having different pin colors based on filtered criteria; perhaps mirroring the online version. With this, a salesperson can distinguish between prospects while they literally drive nearby - all based on what needs to be done, what type of prospect they are, etc.

More to come, but if we start here that would…

  20. Add ability to Remove a contact from Map on the Map.

Our users would like the ability to remove a marker directly on the map just as they can remove a Contact / Account from the map on the Mapped Data section.
