Save accounts on map as a data set, not a route
From Salesforce we can map a View from the Accounts tab and save it as a route. It would be very helpful to have the option to save that collection of accounts as a data set as well.

Add support for interactive legend when there are multiple pins at one location
Would be very useful to have the interactive legend functionality work when there are multiple pins at one location. Currently the feature only works when there is only one pin at a location.
5 votesYup, this is a bug. :-) Should be fixed in a patch release soon. Will update this idea when the patch fix is release.

Cross object fields returned in searches
I understand this would take a lot of configuration, but if I am filtering by cross object, accounts with opportunities stage = closed won, be able to have those related opportunities fields display in the search results. If an account had multiple opportunities that met the criteria list the account multiple times in the results.

Would like the map to reflect what I search for in list view Search box.
After running a map search, I love how I can search the contents of all columns on the list view at the bottom of the Map. After running a search on the list view it will query the records that match my search. However, it does not reflect those records on the map. Would it be possible to add this interactive list view map search anytime soon?
Preferably on your next release coupled in with your Interactive map legend :)

Search nearby an entered address
One of the things we use Geopointe for is to advise end-users about the nearest resellers. This currently requires 2 steps: 1st enter the end-user address in "address and places" search, 2nd switch to the Dataset search to search for accounts "Nearby".
It would be great to be able to do this in one flow, i.e. to have the possibility to search for an address on the Dataset search tab under the Nearby option.10 votes -
Place your own point inside of a custom shape and show the distance to all of the other data points.
Place your own point inside of a custom shape and show the distance to all of the other data points.
(Example) If I use the nearby search and you are next to a river, things that show up as close are actually very far away to get to on the other side. Just take more time to use.54 votes -
Allow a String of Numbers to be Entered in the Filter Criteria.
There are fields within Salesforce that contain a string of numbers yet I am unable to enter a string into the corresponding field in the GeoPointe app. Very frustrating as I have to add a new filter for each number. If anyone has a solution for this I'd love to hear it.

Cross Object Marker
It would be fantastic if you would be able to use a cross
object "Marker". Now that i've been able to figure out the opportunity
role and how its connected to pull in opportunities associated to a contact visually - I'd love to be able to create markers for
"Closed Won" and other stages that are associated to the opportunity
not the Contact.For example:
If I have a "Contact Role" on an Opportunity and have created a "Contact" Data Set, I would like to visually see different Opportunity stages as markers on the map.1 vote -
Layers and Shape in Salesforce1
The ability to use KML files or shapes in Salesforce1 would be very useful.
For example, if a customer uses layers to distinguish neighborhoods, and they need their outside sales team to say within certain boundaries, it would be useful to see the boundaries of that area on the mobile device, that way they know if they've gone out of their area.

Second set of pagination controls at bottom of Mapped Data section
Place a second set of pagination controls at the bottom of the "Mapped Data" section of a map page.
The Mapped Data section can have many entries, requiring the user to scroll well away from the existing controls at the top of the section. A second set of controls at the bottom would reduce user effort in such situations.

chatter on check in
Ability for a user to @mention someone (i.e. their manager) in their check out post. This way their manager is quickly notified of how the meeting went. Avoids use of email.

Ability to assign geographic shapes to a dataset.
The ability to create a dataset in a public folder that you can share with other team members, and for a specific geolocation or shape to pull up when they view that dataset. For example, if you want to create and share a dataset for New York City leads, and always have that map view pull up with that dataset.

Toggle current weather on and off
With our business we are constantly monitoring the weather. To be able to visually see certain account in certain regions and toggle the weather as you can with the traffic on and off would be awesome. Would need a live weather feed from Weather channel or some outside source.

Please make the event integration with mapping more sophisticated. Our company does not need to use routes, but to track the whereabouts of our filed technicians overlaid with open tech cases.
I envision a schedule feature on top of the map showing you when and where the technician will be, then using existing dataset searches to overlay cases, opportunities, opportunity type, etc. The missing component is the technicians schedule overlaid on the map and seeing details such as ETA, current location, etc.

Hi, we are a Sydney based company and love what you provide. But would only be able to really use your system if we were able to drill down
Hi, We are a Sydney based company and although the mapping system you provide is great, we're not able to use it as you can only shade in an entire postcode, and not the individual suburbs within each postcode. It would be fantastic if you could consider doing this, as we'd love to subscribe to use Geopointe, but need this level of detail for our real estate business. Thanks.

Create the route then add to SF
Currently I pick my accounts by mapping a single account and then select accounts within a designated area. It comes out to 6, 8 10 depending on the distance. once I see it mapped I go back into Salesforce and create a New Event for each one. Once the New Events are created I go back to GEO and Import them in. It would be nice to only do this once, Geo to SF instead of the other way around.

combine / run multiple searches on map at once
I have to run 8 separate searches (with "clear map on search" disabled) to get the picture I'm looking for.
there should be a way to mark all these and run them at once.2 votes
