External layers allow browse to hard drive
I have KML files on my hard drive and don't want to use an external url for mapping. I would like the opportunity to browse for a KML file
4 votesWe are looking into this. Currently, Google needs to be able to access the file from their servers. More likely than a harddrive mapping would be an upload option.

Partner with a data provider for lead gen
I think you should partner with a 3rd party data provider (similar to Data.com) so you can map your existing records as well as search for new ones to easily build a pipeline.

Add ability to lookup a Salesforce record directly from tha map
It would be nice to have the ability to somehow lookup a Salesforce record directly from the map so it could be added to a route

Add option do remove markers from the maps after they are added to the route.
This would help when creating routes using big datasets (not allowing to add duplicates)
21 votesWe will look into it, but will like more feedback from people on this.

Enable printing of a mapped dataset
We have many users who would like to print out a mapped dataset (without having to map a route and save to pdf, etc.). They use the print out as a reference while they work in other applications, etc. They'd like to be able to print right from the map and get something similar to the attached.

Generate a 'trip list' in a specifically selected order (without directions), with account details (addresses), for GPS inputing on the fly
An offshoot of the routes & directions option.
Generate a 'trip list' in a specifically selected order (without directions), with account details (addresses), for GPS inputing on the fly once on the road.
Sort of a "print this route to pdf" as a list format, before clicking "Get Route".
2 votesCan you give more detail as to how you input into a GPS? The reason I ask is that there are file types (.gpx comes to mind) that many GPS devices support. How do you enter data? Does your GPS allow you to import files? Can you email it a file for importing?

Export formal reports - reporting feature.
A formal reporting feature within Geopointe would be helpful. I'd like to take the data and map and be able to export it into a report that would be clean and easy to read for our reps out in the field.
25 votesLove the idea, but would like more people to jump in on this idea before we really get into it. It’s an open-ended idea with lots of possibilities. Looking for some more direction.

Change a data set color on the fly
I'd love to be able to go to the map legend and change the data set color within the legend or on the map.
4 votesWe are looking into ways we can allow you to manipulate data once its already on the map. It’s not what you are asking for, but one thing we did roll out is a charting feature that lets you analyze data once it’s on the map. See http://www.arrowpointe.com/2013/07/18/geopointe-july-2013-release/ for some info on that.

Creating Defined Territories with Colored Polygon Shaped Layers
I think it would be great if we can define territories based on specified colored polygon shaped layers that can be customized. For example, if I had a liaison in the LA area that had a defined territory based on the shape we define on the map, and not by zip code or something, it would help with visualization.

Grouping 2 sets of data together by location.
It would be great if you could report out each location from one data set and then group a second data set to the point in set one that it is closest to. So each entry from data set 1 could have mulitple entrys from data set 2 listed with it and give the distance from.

Google earth Integration would be nice..
We use the Google Earth app on our Desktops & iPhones to plot custom layers..
- Currently your Map options dropdown only lists: Map, Satellite, & Open Street, as well as Street View..
- Can Google Earth be added as an integrated option?5 votes -
Allow Spatialkey Join to go back into Salesforce Records
We use Spatialkey to match records to boundaries they're physically located in. We then use that information back in Salesforce for reporting. Right now, we have to export the data from SpatialKey and import it into Salesforce using the Data Loader. It would be great to have this happen automatically.
5 votesWe love this idea, but really need the community to give lots of real use cases for this so we can work with SpatialKey on it. They are open to the idea, but need to see the demand.

Allow for maps to be externally embedded on company website
One of our uses for Geopointe is as a store locator. We are always adding new stores to our company's public website whereas our private internal map is hosted by Geopointe based on custom fields. It would be really nice if we could embed the map of our accounts on our website so that it could be controlled from within salesforce instead of having to manage the map outside of salesforce. If there were an HTML embed code for each map data set collection allowing the map to be externally embedded that would be huge for us!!

Calculate Total Mileage
Ability to calculate mileage based on Salesforce meetings/calendar. Export the route and mileage either daily/weekly etc. Big time saver for salespeople in the field that need to submit mileage type expenses.

Expand filter criteria on SpatialKey Visualization
Currently for SpatialKey filter-only pod only "equals", "contains" and "begins with" are available for criteria. Would like to see not equal to and does not contain for additional criteria
4 votesPassed along with SpatialKey

Open Multiple Location Flags (or pin names) at the same time.
As all the pins appear, we naturally hover over each to see who they are. Then we click into the Pin to see the details flag. Back and Forth, Back and Forth... I'd love to be able to keep multiple flags open at the same time. Having the flag location be adjustable for printing maps would be great too.

Make it easier to analyze check ins
Our team uses Geopointe Mobile and our users are checking in. I am able to setup Check Ins as a Map Object now to view them on the map, but it seems like a more customized UI for this purpose could be created.

Make some default shape files available
There are lots of shape files on the web, some better than others. It would be great if Geopointe had a curated list of shape files that we could just pick from and have them added to Analytics. For example, Timezones, US Congressional Districts, Countries, etc. Shapes that would be used by a wide variety of customers.

See the data list without needing to scroll down the page
When I map data, I see the map first and a list below. The list is great because it has all of the details, but it would be really nice to see the list of records inline with the Map so I don't have to scroll down. Even if it's not the entire table and just the name of the record, that'd be a big win.

Ability to save a specific search
Data Sets are great and very flexible, but I'd love to be able to save a detailed search. Perhaps I want to regularly search 50 miles around a specific address and color the pins by a certain field. I'd love to be able to bookmark that situation and run it rather than having to recreate it manually.
It's not difficult to recreate the search, but being able to save those very specific searches could be nice.
