Enable printing of a mapped dataset
We have many users who would like to print out a mapped dataset (without having to map a route and save to pdf, etc.). They use the print out as a reference while they work in other applications, etc. They'd like to be able to print right from the map and get something similar to the attached.

Place your own point inside of a custom shape and show the distance to all of the other data points.
Place your own point inside of a custom shape and show the distance to all of the other data points.
(Example) If I use the nearby search and you are next to a river, things that show up as close are actually very far away to get to on the other side. Just take more time to use.54 votes -
CBSA: Geocoded Census Core Based Statistical Areas Codes and Titles
Currently Geocode information includes parsed and standardized information, in addition to the geocoded information, such as Street(clean), City(clean), State/Province(clean),Postal Code(clean),Country(clean),County(clean).
Are there plans to include Geocode information by address or lat/lon to include identifiers for Census Core Based Statistical Areas (CBSA) Codes and Titles (ie. "CBSA Code(Clean)", "CBSA Title(Clean)")?

Add capability to "save" a map
It would be ideal to have a method for saving a map view. For example, if I zoom the map to my desired location, add a few data sets, and add some shapes, it would be great to capture that map state. That way I can open the map without having to search for my data sets, re-add desired shapes, etc.

Assignment Plans should allow individual criteria for multiple plans in the same org
Currently in order to have multiple assignment plans, you need to have either multiple custom fields or a junction object, even if the SOQL query has different criteria for the plan. The order of operations should be to leverage the query to identify unique records then leverage the same field. Currently we need about 8 assignment plans and the only option is to create 8 fields or create a junction object.

Ability to save a specific search
Data Sets are great and very flexible, but I'd love to be able to save a detailed search. Perhaps I want to regularly search 50 miles around a specific address and color the pins by a certain field. I'd love to be able to bookmark that situation and run it rather than having to recreate it manually.
It's not difficult to recreate the search, but being able to save those very specific searches could be nice.

Export formal reports - reporting feature.
A formal reporting feature within Geopointe would be helpful. I'd like to take the data and map and be able to export it into a report that would be clean and easy to read for our reps out in the field.
25 votesLove the idea, but would like more people to jump in on this idea before we really get into it. It’s an open-ended idea with lots of possibilities. Looking for some more direction.

Choose Calendar to Import to Route / Map
New import calendar feature is nice but it only allows you to map our own calendar. We have a call center who schedules appointments for our providers. They need access to import the provider's calendars rather than their personal calendar (ideally, with the ability to overlay multiple calendars on the screen) so that they compare accounts in the area and appointment availability.
Solution: add lookup field for user's to select which user's calendar to import.

Save a data set or shape "membership" to a Record
My Sales Reps would like a way to save their shapes and data set information to a record. For instance, if there are 20 Accounts in Shape #1, those 20 accounts would somehow be marked as being in that shape. This could allow reporting and account management by region/group. It could also make shapes available on the Mobile App.
It would be best if you could choose to mark the record as part of the shape so you wouldn't just have everything automatically push to the record. Similar to "Add all to campaign" but maybe you could pick certain shapes…

Geo Library Shapes using 3 digit zip/postal code
The Geo Shapes mapping feature is very useful and has a good deal of ways to define the shapes based on State, zip/postal code, etc. A noticeable downside is increased lag as the layers become more granular. This is especially problematic when creating large shapes based on full zip/postal code.
A great addition to the Geo Library Shapes would be the ability to create layers based on 3 digit zip/postal code (e.g. 928**). This provides a good level of granularity and reduces the complexity when creating larger shapes layers (e.g. Sales Territories/Regions).

Creating Defined Territories with Colored Polygon Shaped Layers
I think it would be great if we can define territories based on specified colored polygon shaped layers that can be customized. For example, if I had a liaison in the LA area that had a defined territory based on the shape we define on the map, and not by zip code or something, it would help with visualization.

Choose different marker sizes
I would like to be able to use smaller markers/pins on the map, especially when mapping larger data sets in smaller areas, or larger sets across the US

Work with multi-currency monetary fields
When working with Salesforce's multi-currency settings, the adjusted amount is not officially a field, just a returned value included with the field it's been applied to (such as the Opportunity Amount field). Unfortunately, Geopointe reads in the actual amount, not the adjusted amount, so any aggregated currency information is not correct. It would be great if the currency fields could tap into the multi-currency functionality so that the aggregates are an accurate representation of revenue and opportunity amount.

Provide a "Check-In" option that doesn't write the Comments to the Subject field.
Our sales manager just noticed that his "Activity Reports" are no longer easy to read because of the way Geopointe codes the check-in?
- The "Comments" are added to the end of the "Subject" field
- This skews the Activity reports that are grouped by that "Subject" field because there are now "too many" unique subjects?
What do you recommend as a fix for this?
- Is there a way to not have the comments saved/appended to the Subject field?
- Is there a way to "dynamically bucket" the subject in a report?13 votes -
Ability to show multiple routes on the same map
It would be helpful to be able to show multiple routes on the same map, so for example if I wanted to share with someone where I'll be next week, I can share a map with the 5 routes showing.

Toggle current weather on and off
With our business we are constantly monitoring the weather. To be able to visually see certain account in certain regions and toggle the weather as you can with the traffic on and off would be awesome. Would need a live weather feed from Weather channel or some outside source.

Add census tracts to geo library
It would be incredibly helpful to have census tracts as a shape you can select in the geo library (like zip code, congressional district, etc). It would help us target properties that could be eligible for specific federal programs.

Set default marker styles/colors
It would be cool to be able to set default marker colors on a map object so that any data sets created would start with that as a default and perhaps even be able to lock it so that only certain users could override that when creating data sets. The use case here for our client is that we want to be able to set the colors for opportunity stages so they are consistent across the company.
It might also be nice to be able to apply that default to all data sets created from that map object after the…
