Upload custom shape files to Analytics
Allow customers the ability to upload their own Shape Files to Analytics without needing to work through Support.
26 votesWe need to require this to run through support per our agreement with spatialkey.

Share data sets with non geopointe users
I would like to share data sets and maps with someone that does not use salesforece or geopointe. We have several people in our company that would find it valuable to view the maps. I previously worked with BatchGeo and they let you email a link to the map/ data for free! https://batchgeo.com
4 votesWe understand the need, but we will not be developing solutions for sharing your maps to non-Geopointe/Salesforce users. Screenshot types of options or Export to KML are your options today.

Merge Saved Routes
This would be helpful if I can save a route of leads in an area, save a route of accounts in the same area, then merge the two into a single list and optimize the route.
3 votesI don’t see us making a merge option. However, you can do your first search, add to route, do your second search and continue adding to the route. The route list persists between searches.
One thing that may help is a future effort we are working on allow you to pick multiple datasets for a single search so you can see everything at once.

Make "Tag" Objects Available as Map Objects
It would be great if we could map tags related to other records, like a custom object record. I see "Account Tag" is already available in the list but not any others.
3 votesUnfortunately, Tags never caught on with Salesforce and are very rarely used. Plus, Salesforce does not expose this data in any usable way for AppExchange Apps

Add more zoom levels
There are only a fixed number of zoom levels (20 I think). I'd like to see more zoom levels to control the exact zoom extents. Right now it snaps to the closest zoom level--which is either too far in or too far out for my use cases.

enter a soql statement for a dataset
As a SalesForce developer, rather than selecting the fields and filter for a dataset, I'd like the option to enter a SOQL statement in which I can select fields and filter. That way I can verify my data in eclipse or developer console and then just copy the statement to geopointe
1 votewe wish, but Salesforce Security Review does not take very kindly to this sort of thing in managed apps.

Automatically Refresh The Map.
It would be great if the search results automatically refreshed on a set interval so the end user would not need to continuously refresh their webpage.
1 voteWhile we do like the idea, the likelihood of this happening is very low. If we did allow for this, it would likely be a purpose-built map meant for auto-refreshing things.

Follow your team by seeing multiple routes and follow them live by GPS
Is it possible for an superior to follow their team by following them by GPS on their phone.
For example:
I am manager of two sales agents. I can load my planned route in to geopointe and can view their planned routes on the same time. Also it would be helpfull to see the route they actually drove. Maybe that would work by saving their GPS signal and turn it in to an route. Afcourse the GPS would only track during opening hours or something.
1 voteWe appreciate the idea, but I don’t think we will be getting into the passive tracking of people at this time. There are other ways to handle this in a way that’s a bit beyond the focus of Geopointe.

Ability to view prospect information through a "hover over" on the new numbered pins (showing multiple leads/contacts at same account)
Having the numbers appear in the pin (showing contacts associated with the lead). One suggestion is to enable the "hover over" ability to have the name of the company appear, like it does with a single pin, versus having to click on the pin to have that info displayed.
1 voteTo provide the feature of multiple records at the same location, we needed to add a new level of info, the # of records. One click away are the pins you need. The trouble is that its possible that 100s of pins are at the same location.

Create a lighter weight service at a lower price with just basic filtered mapping
The basic use for the salespeople is planning their day's visits and finding accounts nearby. Most salespeople just need a list of their nearby accounts plotted on Google Maps. They don't need the advanced routing, heat maps etc. I think the $20+/month service is overkill for this use, and ends up pushing companies to use third-party apps for this functionality.
The mid-level use is sales managers and logistics managers planning delivery routes and doing basic territory analysis. This would be your service as it is now.
The advanced use would be territory (re)design with advanced metrics and ability to see…
1 voteWhile we appreciate the feedback, we are sticking with our solution and will continue to go deep and broad with it. We do offer price tiers are user counts increases. If we are still a ways off price-wise, there are other AppExchange apps that offer a much toned down set of features at a lower price.

SAP Cloud for Customer and Geopointe
Are there any plans to have Geopointe work with SAP Cloud for Customer?
1 voteSorry, we do not have plans to work with SAP at this time.

Add "undo" feature to routing.
It would be very handy to have some type of "undo" capability when building routes in GP. IN particular, if I optimize a route and am not happy with the results, or if I accidentally delete a stop off the route, I want to be able to undo that action.

Stand-Alone?
Would love if you create a Stand-Alone version with a Mobile App. This was 100% of your clients are not required to use Salesforce CRM.
I like GeoPoint more than Salesforce.
Thanks!
