Allow for maps to be externally embedded on company website
One of our uses for Geopointe is as a store locator. We are always adding new stores to our company's public website whereas our private internal map is hosted by Geopointe based on custom fields. It would be really nice if we could embed the map of our accounts on our website so that it could be controlled from within salesforce instead of having to manage the map outside of salesforce. If there were an HTML embed code for each map data set collection allowing the map to be externally embedded that would be huge for us!!

This is exactly what we need. It makes no since operationally to be moving this data around all over the place. If we could move it once to a webserver (salesForce) and access it from our public website, it would reduce errors and keep everything consistent.

We've come up with additional use case for this as a see where we'll be map on our website.
I suppose the challenge is that how much access does the website user get to move around, drill down into locations, etc. -

This is a key feature for us as well. Definitely a factor to base our purchasing decision on.

This would be great for us as we could post "Today's Visitors" on monitors in our lobby without having the Salesforce header or the other user features.

This is a tricky one. Not so much due to functionality, but due to the licensing of maps with vendors like Google and MapQuest. We would love to deliver this, but it's currently not on our 3 release roadmap (taking us into the Summer of 2014). We will be looking to deliver this, but need to figure out the licensing we will have to deal with from the mapping vendors and make that workable before we can deliver it. Keep on us about it, though.

Any update on this? This is a make-or-break feature for us as we consider whether to install geopointe mapping in our salesforce database.

Great idea. This is something on our radar. We'll keep you updated via status updates on this idea. It's a feature we want to deliver for sure.
