Allow Spatialkey Join to go back into Salesforce Records
We use Spatialkey to match records to boundaries they're physically located in. We then use that information back in Salesforce for reporting. Right now, we have to export the data from SpatialKey and import it into Salesforce using the Data Loader. It would be great to have this happen automatically.
We love this idea, but really need the community to give lots of real use cases for this so we can work with SpatialKey on it. They are open to the idea, but need to see the demand.

Agree on the suggestions below as our non-profit could use this capability as well from Spatial Key back into Salesforce records for US Congressional, State legislative and/or local government districts (counties or municipalities)

I have spent the last month looking for the perfect solution for organizing our nonprofit organization. Using Spatialkey to create my own boundaries for chapters seems brilliant. I especially like the ability to overlay other information like congressional districts. To have the ability to use these customized territories or chapters to feed back into salesforce would be really valuable. I want new members to automatically get an assigned chapter so we can provide quick and efficient support.

Thanks! I think the "Your Web Service" is what I'm looking for, though I could be wrong. Basically, we want to import that data back into a field on the Account or Contact.
For Example, one shapefile is US Congressional Districts. After the join, each account record now has its US Congressional District #. That is also a field on the Account record in Salesforce. Currently, we do an export from SpatialKey and then a bulk import. But, just having that district # go automatically into the district field on the account would be great.
Thanks!

Great idea. This idea can get very complex fast. We do like the idea of having a callback into Salesforce. We're open to suggestions, but here's how we see it so far...
* Add To Campaign - this is a standard Salesforce operation across lots of customers. I could envision having a function to automatically add results to a Campaign from SpatialKey.
* Your Web Service - this one is more generic, but opens up lots of possibilities and that is to allow you to identify endpoints of your own code and we allow SpatialKey to send a list of data to that and you take it from there. This will require work on your part, but allows for lots of options.
Thoughts?
All this requires the cooperation of SpatialKey. I know they'd be open to it, but would need to see that it's a desired idea. So vote it up!
