Reporting Tool to Track User Login/Usage/Adoption Rates
We need to be able to track who is using this tool and how often they are using it. We don't use check ins at our company. Just reaching out to our users and asking them to be honest about how much/what aspects they're using is difficult as I am dealing with Sales Reps and not everyone is honest.
Wedo have some back-end data that's more from the developer's point of view, looking at what features are being tapped into, but it's not really user by user kind of data like you'd be looking for. The numbers show approximately sixty users having accessed and used the application in the last couple of months.
We now have an object in every Geopointe app called Geopointe User Usage. This holds a record for each user and when they last accessed the app and how. See http://help.arrowpointe.com/customer/portal/articles/1853588 for more information.
Kelly, in the short term, you could create a record in the Geopointe User Usage object for every licensed user. Geopointe only puts a record there once someone uses the app, not for every user, but there's nothing to stop you from adding more.
It's not possible to connect licenses to other records in reports. The following SOQL query will get you the User IDs for all of your licensed users.
SELECT UserId FROM UserPackageLicense WHERE PackageLicense.NamespacePrefix = 'geopointe'
If you created a Geopointe User Usage record for each User ID, you'd essentially have what you need. You'd have to refresh it, though, as you activate/deactivate users.
Lastly, if you do decide to do this, make sure you don't create dupe records. We only want 1 record per user in there.

This new reporting feature while nice, still does not help with what we need to track. We need to track assigned user licenses vs the user usage. track who is assigned a license and track usage as well as who is assigned a license and NOT using. WE want to track who is not using their license so we can determine if that person really needs a license or not.

We need to capture user adoption and better understand our licensing needs. So we'd be looking for information such as who's licensed, who has logged in, when did they last log in, etc.

Yes I need this also!
