Utilize multiple fields in marker creation
We would like to use "Account Rating" and "YTD Sales" in determining the colors and shapes that our pins take on the map. Currently you can only leverage one field in creating data set markers ("Color by Field"). Would like the ability to define data set markers using multiple fields.
Agreed, size would be a great feature too, ie marker is larger based on higher amount. Formulas are great, but visualizations are better.
I just needed this functionality and luckily already had the formula field built as outlined by Arrowpointe support on this idea. My use case was fairly simple, I wanted to color code by Account Owner and put a shape on the marker for different Account types. (So all John Smith owned accounts would be red and all his record type B accounts would have a circle on them to diferintiate.)
This is because some people using the query don't care about record type, but do care about owner, and vice versa, and others care about both. The ability to mark on 2 (+) fields reduces the amount of queries you have to build. (or the amount of Salesforce fields you need to add.)

This would be helpful when a filter logic includes an "OR" statement. Would like to select the two different Marker Type Fields specific in the OR statement.

Thank you for the feedback, but unfortunately our problem is too complex to be resolved with formula fields. I simplified it for the sake of clarity in this idea, but our sponsors want to leverage as many as six fields in defining markers for one data set, so a formula would be excessively complex.
We have been able to achieve some of the definition we've needed for other data sets with formulas, so it's a valuable suggestion and I appreciate the time taken to respond. If we're able to leverage multiple fields to define markers that will enable to incorporate the data our users are asking for into the map.
I found a similar idea here and added my votes to it:
