industry
It would be great if we could segregate leads by industry/vertical.
1 voteThis is something that can be accomplished today via filtering and color by. please contact us if you need help knowing how to do this.

Cloning/copying data sets
A function/button that lets us clone/copy an existing data set and alter some values in the filter. We could then save that cloned data set under a different name. I'm currently having to recreate very similar data sets from scratch. These data sets have similar markers/additional fields but different filter criteria. This function would be greatly appreciated.
1 voteThis functionality exists today. When editing an existing Data Set, you can choose to Save As instead of Save. This allows you to make a copy of it. We are working on ways to make this more obvious, but the capability does exist today.

More geometry shapes in Norway: County and Municipality
I would like to use the Thematic Map feature to show data per county and municipality in Norway. Today you can only use zip code.

Allow manual search via input of Latitude/Longitude coordinates in search bar
Support searching the map by manually-input Latitude and Longitude coordinates, in the Search Bar. For those who receive locations by coordinates, such as some Nautical or Military venues.
10 votesUse latitude,longitude format

Once I do a search in Geopointe, I lose the ability to see all my layer options and the scroll function will no display them either.
The scrolling is cut off. This was not a problem before the update

Are there plans to use shapefiles derived from "real" USPS Zip Code mail delivery routes, instead of the outdated Census Zip Code Tabulation
Are there plans to use shapefiles derived from "real" USPS Zip Code mail delivery routes, instead of the outdated Census Zip Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTAs)?
As the US Census states on their site: "ZIP Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTAs) are generalized areal representations of United States Postal Service (USPS) ZIP Code service areas."
https://www.census.gov/geo/reference/zctas.html
Many companies utilize existing USPS zip codes to build territories, especially since the zip codes are built in to the actual physical address of the customers. If a company's sales territories are derived from USPS Zip Codes, directly aligned from customer addresses, approximately 20-25% of the time…

Pick and choose which sub shapes I want as part of my territory
Let’s say I have all county shapes showing in the State of North Carolina. I want to pick and choose which ones I want to keep on the shape. I'd like to go one by one and click remove when needed. Even a way to pick multiple counties at a time and/or remove multiple from map when needed.
10 votesThis was released with our interactive shape editor allowing you to lasso and click to add/remove shapes.

pulling multiple searches at once
I have 8 searches that I would like to pull and display at once, right now I have to pull them one after the other by not clearing the map on search.
should be easy to put a box to mark before each search set so I can mark all and map at once.6 votesThis was delivered in our June release. See http://help.geopointe.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2464537-geopointe-june-2016-release for all features delivered.
You can either click all 8 one after the other (8 clicks), put all 8 into a folder and choose to add all folder items to the map (1 click) or star all 8 data sets so they auto-load for you everytime you open the map (no clicks after you set it up).

export shape data
The ability to export data within a drawn shape would be very useful for territory planning and analytics. This is a common feature in other mapping applications. The data (pins) within the shape would be a subset of the mapped data set.

Geocode Correction
Changing the geocode location of a pin back to the original location after you have manually moved the pin on the map.
Right now you have to remove the Lat/Longs on the record and re-run the Geocoder, it would be nice to have a "reset" button.4 votes -
Shapes by postcode/zipcode
[UK] while shapes map to local authority and counties, we often go down to an even more discreet level by allocating area by postcode. This often means that counties can be split between reps.
It would be outstanding if Geopointe could consider postcode shapes for assignment area purposes.

Capture Lookup field name
Currently, when you add an Account lookup field it displays the name of the field on the lookup record and not the field name of the Lookup. For example, on an Account record, I have a lookup field name titled "Property Management Acct" that reference a different Account record type. When I add it as a field to show, it comes back as "Account Name" and not the Lookup Field name of "Property Management Acct"

Add Filter Logic to Cross-Filters
Currently, you can add filter logic to a primary field filter. We need to be able to add a filter logic to a Cross-Filter as well.
(Example, we want to see Contacts with Purchases that have a Status of Expired or Cancelled, and NOT Active)

Fix Canadian mapping
A good number of Canadian Addresses end up in the US. Why is this?

Clustering of Pins on Map
It would be great to see a clustered pins, showing the number of actual pins in an area. When zoomed out, a map with a great number of pins becomes overwhelming and very crowded, blocking the actual shape fields, and other information.
Currently, the only clustering that is available is if pins are located at the same exact address location.8 votes -
Auto-load shapes on Map page load
When loading the map, would like to have shapes preloaded and ready before ever running a data set search. Would like to be visually see all territories represented.
It would be similar to current "Autoload" option for KML files.
8 votesAvailable now by clicking the star icon next to any data set / shape. See http://help.geopointe.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2337930-geopointe-march-2016-release#autoLoad for more details

Auto-load selected shapes when mapping a dataset
There should be a way to associate Geoshapes with a specific data set. That way, an "accounts" dataset can automatically display the related sales territories. Currently, to view a dataset and a handful of related territories, multiple clicks are required to display each territory. Less sophisticated users would benefit greatly from seeing their data appear over the appropriate shapes on the map.
9 votesThis can be accomplished by favoriting shapes and data sets or by including all within a folder and adding the contents of the entire folder to the map.

Map entire folder
Many users would like to start with a selection of datasets in Geopointe without having to map and layer several data sets. One way to do this would be to have the ability to map whole folders. This would allow end users to add a selection of datasets to a folder, and than auto-map all datasets in that folder.

Auto-load territories!
Tedious to add each layer individually- there should be an "Add all layers" button
8 votesAvailable now by clicking the star icon next to any data set / shape. See http://help.geopointe.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2337930-geopointe-march-2016-release#autoLoad for more details.
We also added Folder actions to let you add all the shapes in a folder at once. See http://help.geopointe.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2337930-geopointe-march-2016-release#FolderEnhancements

Improve error message when Nearby "Range" field is unpopulated
When the "Range" field is left black, GP throws a nasty, vague error message (see attached image). This seems to occur even if "Nearby" isn't the selected search type, which makes it harder for end users to understand what the problem is. Perhaps this error message can be modified to provide more detail (i.e. Ooops it appears the "Range" field is blank for your Nearby Search. Please enter a value for Range).
Perhaps we could auto-populated a range so that no error message is displayed.
