Radial Searches on Multiple Addresses
Currently to do a radial search you need to type in the address for each location. Would it be possible to have a data set with multiple locations and do a radial search from each one of those?
ie. We have multiple branch locations and want to find all accounts that are within XX miles from each location. Currently I am doing this one at a time.
1 voteTo include something like this in the User Interface of the Map page, we need more feedback on this.
However, we do offer 2 ways you could accomplish this today…
1) Write code. Our Apex API class allows you to perform radial searches. If you were to write a batch job to process a list of data, you could get what you want.
2) In Analytics. Our Analytics offering has this exact feature. Might be worth looking into. Contact support@arrowpointe.com if you want to try out Analytics. This is a situation where you’d be copying your data to the SpatialKey platform (our partner) and performing what you need in just a couple clicks.

Salesforce1
Provide the ability to put the Geopointe map "button" on Salesforce1 mobile layouts. For example, we currently have the default Google maps button on our mobile layouts, but we want to use the Geopointe one just like we do via Salesforce browser.
13 votesThe Publisher Actions (similar to a button from the normal UI) are a bit limited, but we have discovered an approach that will remove the limitations. We’d love to provide a Map action from a record in Salesforce1 and bring the user to that location in the map page. We fully plan to do it. This is in Planned status for now while we do some prototyping.

HBS data for Performance and Business Environment
It would be helpful to include some of the aggregated HBS data for Performance and Business Environment in Geopointe Layers, if this has not already been done.
http://clustermapping.us/region
If this has been done, please let me know where I may find the information. Thanks.
1 voteVery cool! We’ll investigate. We are moving into bringing more geo-data into the map. Next release is boundary data and will be looking into data feeds and sources like you mention after that. This is a great source. Thanks for posting.

Adding a route to a SF user's calendar
We would like the possibility for a user to affect a route to another user calendar in Salesforce. By specifying a day the whole route would be added to the user calendar with the time specified in the route.

Convert latitude and longitude to Census tract
It would be very helpful if Geopointe would determine the U.S. Census tract from the latitude and longitude produced by Geopointe. That would enable us to figure out how many people we are reaching via Census tract and thus compare it to U.S. Census data.
1 voteWe like the general idea of appending data based upon lat/lon. We are beginning this with the introduction of our Territory Management solution coming out soon and will keep looking into it over time to allow other ways of appending.
Getting to the level of a Census Tract (very granular) is not super likely to be an early candidate. We like the idea, but realistically, appending other data would likely come first.
We’re leaving this open for more feedback. High demand will push this more to the top.

Would be great to save lists to "trips" that you could call back up--something like the add to Campaign, but would work with Accounts.
It would be great to save lists to "Trips" that you could call back up--something like the add to Campaign, but would work with Accounts. "Trips" should be a reportable object within Salesforce.
7 votesWe are confused by the term “Trips”. Can you clarify?
From the description you gave, it sounds more like you are looking for a way to save lists of data you map in order to retrieve them again, but allow them to be against any objects (e.g Accounts) and not just leads/contacts like Add to Campaign. Is that right?
Regardless of the name, it’s the ability to let you take results from the map and save them off somewhere so you can utilize them again, is that right?
If this is the idea, we do like it, but might call it something generic like a “List”, but we get the idea.
Another idea, if you like it…
Salesforce currently has a feature (kind of new) called Topics for Objects. Suppose we were to have Geopointe check whether you’ve enabled topics for the object you are mapping and, if so, allow…

All Locations
Currently the Map allows the user to show their own Locations called 'My Locations', which is great, but as an organization with many business addresses, to have these setup for all users would be ideal. So my proposition is to allow the custom views of GeoLocations so they can switch from 'My Locations' to 'All Locations' or other saved views.
Basically, carry over the views saved in the GeoLocations tab.Hope that makes sense.

Assign marker shape in addition to marker color
We just started with Geopointe and I found that if I let the software predefine my markers and I map two data sets (e.g. leads and accounts), I end up with two different items in the legend using the exact same marker. I would like to be able to assign the marker shape to a data set en masse instead of value-by-value, such as have all my leads have a circle in the marker and have all my accounts be solid, so that at a glance I can easily distinguish two markers of the same color.
2 votesGood idea. We’ll look into it and how to include that concept along with the current capabilities.

Is it possible for an superior to show which routes his team has for today on the same map.
Is it possible for an superior to show which routes his team has for today on the same map. For example:
Tijmen is the Senior accountmanager
Bram and Rob are the Junior accountmanagersTijmen would like to view what the planning is for today. On this moment he wants to see in the map his own route. But he would also like to add the routes of Bram and Rob. So he would know in which zone which accountmanager is available.
He would see on the map thee routes, the route of himself, Bram and Rob. If it is possible…

Add Geopointe map to records in SF
This might already be possible and I just can't find it? We'd like to be able to use the Geopointe map from our SF records (e.g. replace the native map icon on contact records with the Geopointe map). We have this ability in the desktop version of SF, but not in SF1. For example, from a contact record in the desktop version of SF we have a Map button, that when selected, drives the user to a Geopointe map centered on the contact record we just left. However, in SF1, we have a native mobile map icon that does not…
10 votesUnderstood. We only have so much control in Salesforce1, but will begin to have more and more over time. One option now is a “mobile card” that exists on a page layout. We’ll look into it and see if the map from the web version can simply be enabled for mobile and, if not, look into a mobile option.

SF Event - Meeting Location needs to converted as a GeoPointe
I imported my SF scheduled meeting events and noticed that it did not import the "address" that was listed in the "Meeting Location" within the SalesForce Event Activity.
I work with many contacts that we don't alway meet at their "mailing address" because they have multi-plants.

Breakpoints on Markers by Field
Would like to be able to add additional marker breakpoints in between other breakpoints after running and viewing the data set. Currently, additional breakpoints can only be added to the bottom of the list and all of the breakpoints and colors then need to be manually moved one by one.

Identify accounts along route (ie define a route and then show accounts, opposite of identify accounts and plot a route)
The idea is, if I'm driving from X to Y show me all accounts not far from that route. One could fake it with a shape search but this would be cleaner and faster.

Need Full-screen View
Our Sales managers keep defaulting to Google Earth so I asked them why?
1) Full-screen - they like the large full screen in Earth and say Geopointe screen is too small/confined..
2) Distant Measurement - they have to measure distances between selected points
Currently I'm having to export a bunch of KML exports from Geopointe on a weekly basis, so they can view SF data in Earth..

Specify Actions for Datasets
Actions are control by object data. Create a method to limit actions to specific datasets. When mapping specific data on the map, allow actions to execute on the specific data matching the action. i.e. Allow actions on data for a reps territory but not allow actions on all data.

route times
We use servicemax for salesforce which assigns work orders to technicians with a scheduled start time. Work orders are a custom salesforce object. We would like to see the ability to use the scheduled times from the mapped work order object to create a route by technician.

Refresh Results from Actions
We have several actions that change the data on the records displayed. We would like to see the ability to refresh the results after firing a custom action. Or have a button to refresh the data in the results grid.

Stylize Map to Black & White for better visibility of markers
I'd like the ability to have the road-based map stylized in black and white for better visibility of the markers. I know that OpenMaps has this option, not sure if I've seen this in Google's native API, but I have seen this desaturation trick work:
http://jsfiddle.net/alan1986/R5PXH/1/
This really makes the markers "pop" but you do not lose the usefulness of the roads/boundaries.
2 votesLove the idea. The consideration on our end is that Google has limitation on how many styled maps are loaded in a day. While I don’t see this as a huge use case, it’s what we have to consider before just implementing this.
