More "Smart-Mapping" Integration into Salesforce
Stepping back a bit from SF & Maps, it seems like Geopointe is not integrated enough "into" normal SF daily routines? such as:
When working within Salesforce :
- adding a Map to an Account, Contact, Lead, Opportunity (how do I/end-user easily/quickly add a map to a layout?)
- adding a Map to a List-view (end-users need to be able to quickly/on-the-fly view all/filtered customers on a map)
- adding Map Export options (management needs to be able to quickly/on-the-fly export all/filtered customers to excel/kml/etc)Having to "stop" and load the Geopointe app, then "think" thru data-sets & "plotting" options…

Save a data set or shape "membership" to a Record
My Sales Reps would like a way to save their shapes and data set information to a record. For instance, if there are 20 Accounts in Shape #1, those 20 accounts would somehow be marked as being in that shape. This could allow reporting and account management by region/group. It could also make shapes available on the Mobile App.
It would be best if you could choose to mark the record as part of the shape so you wouldn't just have everything automatically push to the record. Similar to "Add all to campaign" but maybe you could pick certain shapes…

See Assignment Area shape from URL parameter click
I'd like the ability to see the shape(s) a record has been assigned to with the click of a button. It would be similar to the &id= parameter with a shape field attached, but would allow me to see the area(s) it's been assigned to.

Need Map button on record in SF1
Right now, I use the publisher action in SF1 to mimic the map button on the record in Salesforce desktop version
http://help.arrowpointe.com/customer/portal/articles/2096553.The problem with option is that I often lose my position and unable to navigate back to my record where I clicked on the map publisher action.
Would it be possible to add a map button in SF1 that will allow me seamlessly navigate back to my record?

Import shapefiles into Geopointe
Many customers use programs like ArcGIS to create territory boundaries that may or may not lines up with government boundaries. Rather than having to redraw those in Geopointe, it would be nice to be able to see and interact with those on the map.

Add capability to "save" a map
It would be ideal to have a method for saving a map view. For example, if I zoom the map to my desired location, add a few data sets, and add some shapes, it would be great to capture that map state. That way I can open the map without having to search for my data sets, re-add desired shapes, etc.

Allow non-geopointe Admin users the ability to create folders
Rather me the Admin creating folders for user, I would love it if my Sales reps could create their own folders to stay organized. I understand the modeling around folders work like Report folders in SF, but it be nice if my sales reps could share folders with one another. This would limit some of the administration around creating folders, sharing, etc.

Prompt me to create task when Checking out
Often times my Sales reps will need to create a open task upon check-out. We would like the option for Geopointe to prompt users on wether they'd like a task to be created upon check-out.

Remove the Limit Search
When working on getting the big picture for an area, it would be nice not to be limited to only 20. Working in a small area that may be ok. But being able to see all the coffee shops in a metro area would be much more helpful.

Import a csv or excel file with address to display on map to add to route (without adding
Import an excel or csv file with addresses to display on map so reps can use it for route planning or adding to route (without having to add to SF).
Our reps have their own competitor lists (that we do not always want to add to SF unless it is a closed sale) but they still want to display it on a map and be able to see how close to our customers they are near.
Currently some of our reps use BatchGeo for this function.

The ability to use Assignment Plans for lead assignment rules.
We allocate leads via the Salesforce lead assignment rules when they come in off of a web form.
We would like to replace our current method of assigning them through a number of rules with the Assignment Plans functionality, but right now the process of geocoding and assigning doesn't handle the process quick enough to do so.

Sales Territory Realignment, Reassignment, and Optimization
Create several additional features, but all striving towards similar objectives:
Optimize the number and placement (territory boundaries) of sales associates according to account potential|prospects|accounts and constrained by workload|call time, travel time, and drivability, while simultaneously minimizing account disruption.
Quickly lasso (or polygon select) accounts/markers on a map and provide summary information/analytics on those accounts.
Apply what-if analysis/scenario-building/ad-hoc “digging” with respect to re-drawing territories. Concretely, plot accounts and prospects for associate A and B and then let me tag (or lasso select) a subset of accounts from associate A and see “what happens” as a result of assigning that subset to…

Ability to show multiple routes on the same map
It would be helpful to be able to show multiple routes on the same map, so for example if I wanted to share with someone where I'll be next week, I can share a map with the 5 routes showing.

Enable printing of a mapped dataset
We have many users who would like to print out a mapped dataset (without having to map a route and save to pdf, etc.). They use the print out as a reference while they work in other applications, etc. They'd like to be able to print right from the map and get something similar to the attached.

Allow for maps to be externally embedded on company website
One of our uses for Geopointe is as a store locator. We are always adding new stores to our company's public website whereas our private internal map is hosted by Geopointe based on custom fields. It would be really nice if we could embed the map of our accounts on our website so that it could be controlled from within salesforce instead of having to manage the map outside of salesforce. If there were an HTML embed code for each map data set collection allowing the map to be externally embedded that would be huge for us!!

Calculate Total Mileage
Ability to calculate mileage based on Salesforce meetings/calendar. Export the route and mileage either daily/weekly etc. Big time saver for salespeople in the field that need to submit mileage type expenses.

Drive thematic maps legend by specific totals
Add a thematic map setting that allows for the legend to have the specific totals, not just a range.

Button lookup field using Lightning lookup instead of classic
When we create an "Add new" button in Geopointe, and the layout contains a lookup field, the lookup field is still using the classic "Magnifying glass" method.
It would be better to change this to the lightning lookup so the user experience is consistent for users more familiar with lightning.6 votes -
Same location marker setting driven by State or other criteria
Add a ‘Same Location Marker’ setting that allows you to define the same location based on criteria such as State, not just the exact same location.
